    Banner Business Solutions have been working with Genesis for approximately 12 months since the relationship was established. Banner have placed 3 out of the latest 3 vacncacies so far, and they are now being looked at as a preferred recruitment partner for Genesis. The vacancy was found directly from the Sales Manager through networking. The existing structure of the sales team focused a lot around account management so Banner wanted to introduce a new business hungry sales person for their Southern territory to solely focus on winning new business. The Hiring manager had been actively looking for a new business sales person for approx. 6months before I established contact with him. They’d used other agencies and advertised directly but he wasn’t finding suitable high quality candidates to fill the vacancy.  As the structure focused a lot around strong account management they were excelling in account growth and retention but were in danger of being exposed to their competitors in the market when it came to winning new business. By not having this position filled it was taking up a large proportion of the Hiring Managers time sourcing for the vacancy as well as trying to accommodate new business wins himself or through their account managers already in the business.  Up until now, the main issue for Banner Business Solutions is the time and lack of quality of candidates. With a new business sales person in place they would be able to go to market focusing specifically on winning new accounts, which in turn would increase revenue and free up time from the Hiring Manager to return to his core responsibilities. Without this person in place it continued to occupy the hiring managers time sourcing for the vacancy and allow their competitors to grow in the market with little completion from Banner. The position was previously not filled because of lack of quality and experience in candidates.

    We have been working with CCS for over 2 years and are seen as one of their top suppliers of Sales people. The vacancy was sourced through business development and then being passed the roles by the Senior Sales Manager. The vacancies Genesis always work on for CCS are due to company growth and for the most recent roles Genesis were working on were getting candidates from the Nottingham area as CCS Media have a plan to open an office there in the next 12 months. By CCS Media opening this office it would increase the company presence in that area and continue the growth throughout the UK. The main problem here is not finding candidates that can hit the floor running and get up to speed quickly. It is very important to find suitable candidates with the right experience with the products and services and who had been used to working in a New Business/Account Management role. Opening a new office requires a team that can generate a profit quickly. If this issue was not resolved and suitable candidates were not put forward this would be a waste the time for Genesis and CCS Media and not assist with the opening of the new office therefore not demonstrating a good service and jeopardising future business between CCS and Genesis.

Growth within the New Business team, They were looking for a New Business hunter for the Intranet consultant team, By not having this person on board they would not be able to achieve the set goal and targets that have been set to include this new person and they need to get this person in place. The main problem was the time to find the right client, and this would affect the overall target.

    Insight UK Ltd. have worked with Genesis for a number of years, and particualarly over the last 18 months are making Genesis one of the key recruitment partners. As part of the PSL, we were invited to a meeting with the Northern Sales Directors for them to pitch a project to us focussed on Client Directors. Due to the market becoming more services led, Insight are making sure that they stay ahead of their competitors by recruiting more SLA based sales individuals to take the business to the next stage in their evolution as a services provider. They tasked their recruitment partners in finding a level of candidate that Insight had not recruited before, which without any comparisons is a tough task when they don’t know what the “ideal candidate” would be. The main issue is about attracting the right candidates, Insight need to be seen as a services provider and not just a product shifter and candidates need educating on the journey Insight have been on over the last 5 years and furthermore where they are forecasted to grow to in the next 5 years. Not attracting the right kind of candidates would not raise the bar for quality. Such a vacancy has arisen because of this being a new project for Insight.

    The vacancy came about as a result of the regional manager who contacted us directly, we also discussed with their Resourcing Manager to ensure we were fully breifed. For such a role a niche skillset was required. The longer someone is not in the role, the more it affects team target and the longer it was vacant, the more chance their competitors would start to take advantage of that.  It was therefore key to make sure this vacancy was filled not only within a certain timescale but to also make sure the right person was hired for the role who could hit the ground running. If the patch was to have been left vacant for a long time, their competitors would likely start targeting those customers.

    We have been working with Genesis for 12 months and have quickly become established as one of their preferred suppliers for Sales people. We were contacted directly by the Hiring Manager whom had been referred by another Manager we have worked with at RBI. The vacancy arose upon expansion of the sales team new territory was outlined that required further attention. They had an existing Key Account Manager covering this territory, but required an Account Manager to expand further in terms of new business. By not having this individual in place it was consuming the Hiring Manager/ KAM’s time from time spent with existing accounts and other areas of growth. By having someone in this position it would increase their overall territorial coverage globally. The main issue for recruitment is the time taken to interview and maintain coverage of this territory whilst managing the rest of the existing team. If this position were not filled, it could potentially reduce the territorial growth for the team and subsequent team expansion and development. The position has previously not been filled because of candidates being unable to grasp concepts of their solutions, or not being compatible with selling into this territory or not being new business driven enough.
