New Manchester City Centre office opens for business - 15th August 2011
Genesis is pleased to announce the launch of its new Manchester city centre office. Based from Lowry House a prestigious Bruntwood building at the heart of the business district, the new city centre office will focus on appointments within the IT, Finance & Accounting and Operational Excellence market sectors. This new office base will provide an ideal location for our next phase of growth as we continue to expand within our specialists markets.
Handforth will retain its key operating divisions focused on national and international Sales and Engineering appointments. Handforth will continue to develop and grow within these markets and will be looking larger office space at the start of next year.
This new office is part of the long term growth strategy and represents a new and exciting chapter in our history. Manchester and Handforth are set to continue their rapid expansion and we are aiming for a third office launch in 2012.

New Sales Director appointed for Handforth office
Craig Austin has been promoted to Sales Director for Genesis Handforth. Craig has been in the recruitment industry for 10 years and joined the business in 2008. He quickly established himself as a key person in our longer term growth plans and quickly progressed from Principal Consultant to Associate Director. Craig now takes over full responsibility for the Handforth office and will be looking to build upon the success already achieved.

Genesis (Handforth) will be the head office for our already established Sales and Engineering Divisions, with the recent recruitment of a director of Engineering and two Senior Managers already in placed looking after our sales divisions we would be looking to build on this success and increase head count by 25% over the next 6-9months.
Engineering Division appoints new Divisional Director
Stuart Nicholson will be joining our Engineering Business as they expand globally across a number of different sectors including Power Generation, Civil Engineering, Construction and Utilities. Stuart brings with him a wealth of international search & selection experience in the delivery of both retained and contingency assignments.
The mission, vision and values of the service will be centred around first fully understanding a clients needs before tailoring a unique solution that will allow the client to meet their business objectives. From a candidate perspective you will experience a refreshing approach where our consultants will look to first understand motivations, aspirations and capabilities so that each one of our candidates can then be individually suited and then introduced to market leaders across the world.
This is a very exciting time for this part of the business that will see a considerable increase in staffing numbers to deliver what is already a significant demand for the service from clients & candidates.
Creative Design Division grows with launch of New Print, Packaging & Design team
Genesis Associates are pleased to announce the launch of a new recruitment service aimed at the Creative Design market.
Complementing our well established Packaging Graphics recruitment business, which is headed up by Carol Almond, the Creative Design division will be led by Matt Hanley and will help form the newly titled Print, Packaging & Design team.
The main focus for this specialist service, will be on recruiting for Sales & Client Services teams in the Print, Packaging & Design markets across the UK & Europe, also encompassing Creative, Operations, Management & Studio roles.
Having already secured relationships with several major Global Design Agencies, Matt is proficient with all disciplines of Design encompassing Digital, Branding, Design, Print, Advertising, Packaging, Logo & Identity, Web, Signs, Photography, Promotions, Brochures, Corporate Identity, Literature and the full mix that goes in to helping Brands communicate, engage and grow.
With our continued success in the Global Packaging Graphics & Packaging Artwork market we have had more and more clients and candidates asking us about our experience with Multi-Discipline Design Agencies and so we are incredibly pleased to now be able to work with these companies and individuals.

New Hires and Promotions
Over the past 18 months Genesis have continued to attract some of the North West’s leading recruitment talent, with a reputation for being a “niche” provider of a genuine recruitment solution. In August alone we are pleased to have strengthen both the Commercial Sales and IT Sales team with the addition of two highly experienced recruiters with over 14 years industry expertise between them.
Our Career Development program has always been one of our strongest unique selling points providing a clearly defined career path with specific targets and values to be achieved in order to progress. In July we employed four Trainee Consultants who completed their two week RDP training program and now join established teams to continue their personal development.
We are also delighted to confirm that David Doherty has been promoted to Senior Consultant for Operational Excellence. David will start looking to recruit a team of consultants to work with him in developing the Operational Excellence Division into one of our most successful business units. David has worked hard over the last 14 months to established himself as a high performing member of the business. Creating new relationships with key accounts such as RBS and BskyB.
Matthew Patterson has been promoted to Team Leader and takes responsibility for growing and developing a team of experienced consultants entering into the world of IT Sales appointments within IT Vendors, Resellers, Distributors and Solutions businesses. Matt has been a committed member of our team since joining last year. He hasn also taken on a number of other important projects within Genesis.
Operational Excellence

Software Sales Expansion
Edward Meyrick has been promoted to build a team focused on the delivery of recruitment solutions for Sales appointments into the Software / ERP / CRM sectors.
Having identified Manchester City Centre as a very strong location to attract the very best Software Sales & Development Recruiters we have moved Edward and his team to the City Centre office. He is now looking to grow this successful area of the business further by attracting established Recruiters within the Software market combined with a commitment to homegrown talent developed through our ‘Recruitment Development Program’.
In August Edward recruited new consultant Ben Bray to the division. Ben is a recent Business Graduate from Nottingham University with a strong knowledge of the Technology marketplace having worked at a successful IT Brokerage. He has very quickly put this into practise making his first placement in his first 3 weeks with the business, agreed terms with two new Manchester City based Software companies and we are expecting Ben to make rapid progress in the Manchester Software recruitment market.
Strong Quarter 2
We’re pleased to announce that Quarter 2 2011 was another strong period for Invoicing AND Sales with just under £1.2m of business produced. This is a fraction below our previous strongest quarter posted in Q4 2010. Commercial and IT Sales in particular posted impressive results.
