My client is one of the largest Wind Turbine manufacturers in the World. They are looking to add a Project Manager to their team in Manchester. This role will cover the whole of the UK.
The Project Manager role will mainly be focused on the Construction side of the process. So experience of managing full EPC projects is a must, experience in the Wind Industry is also needed.
The Full Role of the Project Manager will be:
Support the Sales organisation in finalising strategy and costs on major risk items during the final stages of tender process, and facilitate a smooth handover from Sales to Projects.
Delivering the project on-time, within budget, to good quality, and with no injuries & accidents.
Fronting the organisation to our clients - creating a good relationship with the client, and delivering customer satisfaction, whilst defending and improving our commercial position.
Creating a successful and enjoyable team - with team members drawn from various support departments: engineering; logistics; commercial project management; site management; erection supervisors; commissioning engineers; and from different locations and nationalities.
Providing strong control of key suppliers, including erection & transportation companies, whilst developing good relationships with our key long-term partners.
Drawing up claims for extension of time and/or costs to our customers and negotiating these claims to provide the best position for us.
Facilitate a smooth handover to our colleagues in Service, at the same time as handover to the client.

You must have the experience of full responsibility for multi-million pound contracts with strong commercial and financial acumen.
As a senior project manager, you will be expected to take on mentoring / coaching responsibility for less experienced Project Managers
