PACKAGING TECHNOLOGIST
Salary: £25K-£40K dependent on experience
Location: Louth
Start Date: ASAP

Ideally from an extrusion background!

The Client
My client is a leading specialist in luxury retail packaging supplying luxury own brand packaging to clients in the FMCG and retail markets.

The Role
* To liaise with suppliers and retailer customers to develop their packaging ensuring that they meet with the specified guidelines and customer requirements and are right first time.
* To ensure that all product packaging is safe, legal, decent honest and truthful and meets agreed quality criteria within the technical specification.
* To ensure that the Packaging/Print has been produced accurately with the specification supplied.
* To assist the relevant Technical Manager, Packaging/Design Co-ordinator and Commercial Manager in the successful launch of new and redesigned lines, through timely completion of tasks in-line with project critical path.
* To ensure that accurate documentation is supplied to the designers and art houses to allow the generation of product artwork, including but not limited to; substrate details, cutter guides and print specs.
* To build successful relationships with customers; suppliers; art houses; printers, to aid the identification and swift resolution of any queries raised.


Requirements
* Hands-on creative skills with the ability to see a brief through from initial concept to final print-ready artwork.
* You should have strong print production knowledge and be keen to stay on top of the latest innovations and changes in print and packaging.
