NATIONAL SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER - structural packaging / luxury packaging
SALARY - £40-50k basic + commission
Location - MIDLANDS / NORTH HOME COUNTIES
ROLE - Mixture of new business and existing client sales
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!
*Mixture of new business and existing client growth
*Selling structural packaging solutions to the luxury packaging market
*Target clients include big brands, retailers, sports clubs, hospitality and similar!
*To take over an existing pipeline and a portfolio worth £3m/5m
*This is a new role as somebody is being promoted
*To join a people focused organisation
*Supported by a sales support team
*To manage the whole process & work with the Creative Manager
*Will talk about construction, colour and print
WHAT WE NEED!
*Would suit somebody from the packaging market - possibly artwork but definitely structural packaging!
*IDEALLY suit somebody who has sold in to retail clients or similar
*Could consider Point of Sale or Print Management experience IF sold in to the Retail clients
*MUST enjoy new business development
*MUST have a stable CV and proven experience of opening new doors and pitching to large clients
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Retention of existing customers to maximise sales revenue, new product categories and profitability.
*Monitor customer's sales performance in terms of their contribution and profitability.
*Establish and develop relationships with customers at all levels and entertain clients as required
*Identify any issues in the client relationship and implement corrective actions through regular reviews.
*Negotiate long term agreements with our existing customers.
*Drive existing customer business plans through to conclusion.
*Secure profitable new customers focussing on retailers within the Fashion, Cosmetics, Watches & Jewellery and Luxury sectors.
*Work alongside our business development team to implement new customers wins with excellence.
*Work with other departments both locally and internationally on the design and implementation of value added products and services to our customers.
*Support UK purchasing team to ensure we work with preferred suppliers.
*Support collection of outstanding debts within the agreed terms.
*Ensure any slow moving stock lines are addressed.
*Ongoing competitor analysis.
*Monthly reporting of sales activity and business results.
*Participate in business projects as and when required.
*Attend training courses as and where necessary to ensure personal and team job skills keep pace with legislative and business developments.
