Senior Electrical Engineer (Permanent) - Building Services Consultancy - Manchester
Role: Senior Electrical Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 + Package
Location: Manchester
My client is currently searching for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer following their acquisition of multiple projects. A nationwide network of consulting building services engineers and designers, my client promotes a shared learning culture, working within a people driven environment - this is shown by their accreditation of Champion status by investors in people.
Role Overview and Duties:
+ Provide input on design strategy, design calculations and conceptual design relative to electrical installations within major building projects.
+ Design electrical installations to meet all the relevant British Standards and also the Building Regulations for energy efficiency and low carbon requirements, considering system and seasonal efficiency, operational and environmental impacts and life cycle performance / payback.
+ Lead an M&E; team in the co-ordination and delivery of individual projects, including attendance at meetings, internal programming, project reviews, etc. Also provide assistance and support to more junior members of the team.
+ Manage client and design team relationships and Understand client needs to Interpret and confirm the project brief.
+ Demonstrate a wide knowledge and relevant project experience of electrical systems across a range of sectors.
+ Have an understanding of mechanical engineering systems and the ability to report on both disciplines during meetings, etc.
Essential Skills - What do we need from you?
+ BEng, BSc in relevant engineering subject OR HNC/HND in relevant subject
+ Chartered or working towards chartered status
+ Ability to apply theoretical principles to the practical design of building systems
+ Able to interrogate, undertake sensitivity analysis and comment upon energy and thermal model results / profiles.
+ Excellent team working and inter-personal skills
The salary and package offered are negotiable depending on your level of experience.
